Gerardo Aguillón bio
Outstanding Cuban violinist with extensive international experience, Gerardo Aguillón is recognized globally as a rare jem, unique in his versatility in mastering all genres, mostly in jazz and latin jazz. He distinguishes himself with his exquisite ability to improvise due to his technical dominium over his instrument.
International arranger, composer and professer, Aguillón has played at the most prominent festivals and theaters around the world, and has shared the stage and recorded with world renown artists such as Maria Maria, Michel Legrand, Jose Angel Navarro, Tony Bennet, Chuchito Valdes, Paquito D’Rivera, Celia Cruz, Ruben Gonzales and Israel Lopez Cachao, with whom he co-procured « The Last Mambo » which received a Latin Grammy.
